VSAAM™ Revealed: Supplier Visibility and Supplier Relationship
As you may know, Advanced Core Concepts’ Visual Supplier Assessment & Analysis Modules—or VSAAM™—is a Supply Chain Management Intelligence application consisting of a suite of 12 modules that is nothing short of revolutionizing the industry. It manages all aspects of supplier relationships and integrated data in the most effective, innovative way ever. To help our readers better understand VSAAM™, we will be elaborating on each of the 12 modules. Today’s post will focus on the first two: Supplier Visibility and Supplier Relationship.
Supplier Visibility
This module extracts the name and physical location of each supplier from the BOM, accounts payable, and warehouse receiving records. It then utilizes an external database to obtain the longitude and latitude of each supplier location and displays them on a world map, with color coded “pinhead” graphics. When users click on a supplier’s pinhead on the map, a D&B business summary, website URL, components supplied, process & quality certifications, projects/products, and customers supported are all displayed. Optional warning alerts are available for the VSAAM™ key metrics Dashboard Display.
Supplier Relationship
Determine suppliers’ relationships with each other and their products and services. A visual display of the relationships and products/services is available as the Supplier Visibility and Supplier Relationship module work together. The Relationship module extracts part/component/service names and numbers from the BOM, accounts payable, and warehouse records. Information about supplier relationships is displayed on a world map, and services, components, and/or products are displayed when clicked on. A “hierarchical organization” chart displays multi-tier suppliers. D&B business summary, URL, components, projects/products, and customers supported are displayed when users click on a supplier’s name/box.
